How Can it Only Take 6 Months?

The Powerprox Six Month Braces Technique™ utilizes the latest technology to move teeth but is also based upon orthodontic techniques that have been proven safe and reliable.

Does this technique utilize high forces to move teeth faster?

Actually, the opposite is true. The Powerprox Six Month Braces Technique™ is a low force technique. The more braces are “tightened” the slower teeth are moved. Low force orthodontics is safer and faster.

Does the Powerprox Six Month Braces Technique™ damage my teeth, roots, or gums?

No! Damages such as these are caused by high forces, not low forces. Also, individual biology and a high force technique can potentially cause complications. With the Powerprox Six Month Braces Technique™ we do not utilize any high forces that would cause these complications, making this a very safe and predictable technique.

Are the Powerprox Six Month Braces™ more painful than regular braces?

No, this technique utilizes low forces, not the high forces that cause pain.

Does the Powerprox Six Month Braces Technique™ cost more than regular braces?

No, the cost is less than traditional braces. This technique requires fewer office visits and is less expensive than comprehensive orthodontics.

Do I need to wear braces on all of my teeth?

In most cases the answer is yes. We offer both metal and clear braces. The clear braces actually blend in with the teeth and makes the braces virtually invisible.

Will I need any teeth extracted with this technique?

We very rarely need to extract teeth using the Powerprox Six Month Braces Technique™.

How often do I need to come into the office during my treatment?

We will see you once a month for a 15 to 30 minute appointment. The initial appointment when the braces are first placed takes a little bit longer. Usually it takes 10 visits or less to complete treatment.

Do I have to wear a retainer?

Yes, every orthodontic procedure requires a retainer. If you do not want to wear a retainer after your teeth are straightened, we can splint the teeth together to prevent them from moving.

Is this treatment covered by my insurance? Do you offer Payment Plans?

We will be more than happy to check with your insurance plan to determine the possible coverage. Each insurance plan varies so each patient is different. Our office is very skilled when it comes to working with insurance so we can easily determine coverage.
